NOTE: This list may not be comprehensive. Use it to build
upon for your own special requirements
Personal:
- Passports
- Application for Visas for PNG to be completed & forwarded with photo to PNG
Consulate
- Course of malaria tablets - Check with your doctor
- Kina (PNG money) prior to departure
- Travel and Personal Health Insurance
- Health - Check with your doctor
- Name tag
- Binoculars
- Camera & film
- Torch
Aircraft (pilots only):
- 100-hourly - Make sure you have sufficient time for the entire trip
- Insurance - Check that your policy is valid
- Life Jackets and/or Life raft - Check rules and regulations
- Survival Equipment including Beacon
- AVGAS will be organised by the coordinator. Fuel Carnet don't work any
more.
- Aircraft performance - Check the performance charts
- Currently the HF frequencies in use are: 8861 and 6538. Aircraft not HF equipped will be given
approval to fly "in company", provided that two aircraft in each company are
equipped with these frequencies. Captains, who have advised that they have
the correct frequencies, please ensure that they are serviceable.
- ONC charts These are no longer available and I will provide photo copies.

- RNC charts
- ADCOM chart
- Chocks and tie down equipment etc
- Oxygen Equipment if required
- Revision of mountain flying procedures and techniques
- Revision of water landing
- Disinfectant spray. Aircraft to be sprayed at top of decent and before
disembarking. Supplied by coordinator.
