ODE TO MUNDA
Presented by the awarding winning "Safari Raindrops Quartet"
Accompanied by guest artist, John Lewis Jnr. on clarinet
(Sung to the melody of "The Happy Wanderer")

From Honiara’s Coup d’etat, we all took off again,
Paradise PNG Safari, flying into rain.

Oh the rain, oh what a pain,
Where’s the sun? It’s gone again!
Yes the rain, oh the rain,
The bloody, bloody rain.

Tango, Yankee, Echo and the Bravo Whiskey boys,
They had their own adventure, with Kirra-Kirra’s joys.

Then the rain, pissed down again,
And the pilots felt the strain,
Yes the rain, oh the rain,
The bloody, bloody rain.

Bravo Whiskey Kilo with John and Gareth too,
They landed east of Munda in rain, so nothings new.

And the rain, poured down again,
But we felt at home in rain,
Yes the rain, oh the rain,
The bloody, bloody rain.

Now here we are in Munda, eighteen all safe and sound,
Enjoying Munda’s paradise, with both feet on the ground.

So the rain, that bloody rain,
It rained here and not in Spain,
Yes the rain, oh the rain,
We want "fine and beaut" again.

But, here we are, at Ambua,
Very Happy, we’ve come so far.
And where’s the rain, that bloody rain?
It’s fine and beaut again.
